The company announced on Tuesday that it will be hiring about 40,000 people nationwide for the holiday season. Job duties include cashier, unloading freight and stocking shelves.

While a Kohl's representative could not say specifically how many jobs would be available in the Avon Commons store, the statement said that an average of 35 employees will be hired for each store.
Kohl's plans to have most positions filled by mid-November, ahead of the big Christmas shopping season.
