Learn the Ins and Outs of Social Media for Small Businesses

The city-sponsored free workshop will teach you how social media, such as Facebook and Twitter can help your business.

Admit it: You’ve heard a lot about social media, including Facebook and Twitter and you don’t understand the hype. Many small business owners, however, are finding these sites – and others – are effective marketing tools that can help grow their businesses.

The next free workshop for local businesses, “Marketing and Social Media for Small Business,” sponsored by the Avon Lake Economic Development Advisory Board, (EDAB) is April 14 and will explore social media applications, the latest trends in marketing. The workshop will address whether your company should be using social media and how to approach it. The seminar is part of the “Growing Your Business 2011” series.

“We started these workshops last year and, with the economic recovery now taking shape, we look to assist our business to grow and add jobs in 2011,” Joe Archacki, chairman of the EDAB said. “We hope to grow these programs in 2011 and continue our business-friendly agenda.”
