Post Avon Lake: Michael Symon Opening New Restaurant in Crocker Park

Announcement comes four months after Symon closes Bar Symon.

Four months after pulling Bar Symon out of Towne Center in Avon Lake, a Crocker Park representative announced Michael Symon will open the popular B Spot restaurant in the shopping center. The burger joint will open this summer in the location occupied by Agave Tequileria and Cocina at the north end of the shopping center.

"We have a great existing relationship with B Spot," said Tom FitzSimmons, spokesman for Stark Enterprises, which handles leasing at Crocker Park. B Spot opened at their Eton complex in Woodmere about two yeas ago. "It has been a wild success and we're excited to have them. We think it's a great location."

 Symon's Avon Lake location closed last year citing in part disappointing sales. are in the process of relocating to the site formerly occupied by Bar Symon.

The new B Spot will have an upgraded patio area and about as much seating as Agave, minus a little office space FitzSimmons said.

"There has been a lot of demand for this on the west side," FitzSimmons said. "They have the best hamburgers I've ever had, bar none."

Symon also has a B Spot restaurant opening soon in Strongsville.
