Looking for Cheap Gas? Look Here Before Isaac Takes Your Money

Oil rigs in Gulf of Mexico, refineries in Gulf coast region could be impacted by tropical storm expected to become a hurricane.

With a hurricane on its way, now may be a good time to fill your gas tank before it hurts you wallet.

With Tropical Storm Isaac on the verge of being a hurricane, experts are expecting gas prices to rise.

The National Hurricane Center has predicted will be upgraded to a a hurricane on Tuesday as it heads its way across the Gulf.

On Monday, GasBuddy.com said 25 percent of the daily oil production had been shut down in the Gulf of Mexico. Oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as refineries along the Gulf coast could be damaged by Isaac, causing additional gas hikes.

GasBuddy predicted that gas prices will rise nationwide between 7 to 10 cents a gallon in the next 24 hours. And with Labor Day weekend rapidly approaching, that long-weekend trip you've been planning could cost a (small bundle) more.

Funny Stan, they had a reason prepared and prices hiked before the storm even hit.
