“We have this event each year to support local home businesses and help them expand their network,” said Becky House, AECPTA vice-president of programming. “All vendors will have samples of their work, most are cash and carry, but some require orders to be placed. The opportunity to purchase a table was open to anyone and there are a few non-AECPTA members who will be selling.”

The AECPTA monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m., prior to the Vendor Night event.

The Avon Early Childhood PTA is an organization that offers social and educational activities that enrich the lives of our members and their children.  Members are given the opportunity to share time with their family while connecting with others in the community. The club is open to families with children birth to kindergarten in Avon and surrounding communities.  Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month (Sept. –May) at Avon Heritage North Elementary School (35575 Detroit Road). Free babysitting is available to members.

AECPTA also is an organization that gives back. Members collect monetary and needed consumer product donations for several local charities throughout the year. The club also donates a sizable percent of profits each year to charities and causes that promote and support family and child well-being and development. AECPTA recently presented the Avon Local School district with a $15,000 donation towards the construction of a new playground at Avon Middle School which will be converted into an Early Learning Campus for preschool and kindergarten students when the new middle school is constructed in Avon on Long Road.
