Buffalo Wild Wings On Wednesday Will Support Vertical High

Area residents will climb 42 floors of Terminal Tower in Fight For Air Climb.

Wednesday, Feb. 20  from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., attend a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Avon Lake to benefit the American Lung Association. A team of local residents and their friends, who will be participating in the 2013 Fight for Air Climb March 2, have organized the fundraiser as part of their efforts to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Thirty percent of all pre-tax purchases made that day with the fundraiser ticket will go to the American Lung Association.  Fundraiser event vouchers can be obtained from any of the team members or email jodybarilla@gmail.com to receive your fundraiser event voucher.

The Avon Lake Howard Hanna office, located at 32713 Walker Road will distribute BW3 flyers if people want to stop in and get one (or more) to distribute.

On March 2, the team, “Vertical High”, will do their part to fight lung disease by climbing 42 floors of the Terminal Tower in the 2013 American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb.  The funds raised to support this event help fund the many programs of the American Lung Association.  The team includes Avon Lake residents Lisa Scheer,  Steve Scheer, Jody Barilla, Tom Murphy, Denise Walsh, Cheryl Craver,  Ryan Smarsh, Diane Charlton, Matt Heschel, Paul Loescher, former Avon Laker, Beth Wood, as well as Krystal Kovacik and Tom’s son, Owen Murphy.

“Watching someone you love gasp for breath is gut wrenching,” Lisa Scheer said. “I climb in loving memory of my friend Carol and my father-in-law Dean. And I will climb for Donna, who is currently fighting a tough battle with lung disease. My goal is that funds generated through donations provide assistance to those that struggle with lung issues."
