These informative workshops are part of Avon Lake Public Library’s Small Business Resource Connection, whose purpose is to aid in the economic development of small businesses in the community.

Environmental Series – Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry

On Wednesday, March 14 at 7 p.m., Pete Banks, founder of the Lorain, Cuyahoga and Erie chapters of the international organization, Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, will tell his story. Learn about the process of meat donation, who pays and who benefits.

Wee Science – Meet Stuffee

Children ages 3 – 5 are invited to meet the Library’s blue haired giant, Stuffee. On Thursday, March 15 from 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Stuffee will help your children learn about basic nutrition, how food is digested, and what your heart does. Space is limited. Registration begins March 7 in DiscoveryWorks or by calling 440-933-7848.

Resume Rules for 2012

Learn how to punch up your current resume or create a new one. On Wednesday, March 21 at 7 p.m., human resource consultant Robin Wood will show you how to craft a solid document that is sure to grab an employer’s attention.
