Jason Taylor, Andrew Davis Homer in Crushers' Loss

Crushers lose two of three to Washington Wild Things

The lost another close one Sunday night, falling to the Washington Wild Things, 6-5, in Washington, Pa.

Andrew Davis and Jason Taylor homered for the Crushers (22-28) in the loss, according to a report from the team. Taylor led the Crushers with two hits and two RBI.

Chris Allen (1-2, 1.37 earned run average) took the loss for the Crushers, giving up the game-winning run in the eighth on an RBI single by Blake Ochoa, who had earlier hit a grand slam in the sixth inning off Kelyn Schellenberg.

Steve Grife, a Sheffield Lake native, got the win for the Wild Things.

The Crushers open a three-game homestand against the Rockford RiverHawks on Monday. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Andrew Weeks (3-3, 4.93) is slated to start for the Crushers.
