This year’s free Child Safe Community Day Fair, held this year at the , will focus on safety but will offer a large helping of fun. The fair is from 1 p.m.- 4p.m. on Sunday, March 25 and is hosted by in Avon Lake.
"People can expect see to receive updated information on keeping their children free of harms way,” fair organizer Jeff Ellis said. “Parents can have their children receive fingerprint ID with a picture, courtesy of the.”
The will offer key tips on keeping kids safe from fire hazards and the Lorain County American Red Cross disaster team will be present along with the county Emergency Management Agency with a host of important information all about safety.
The fair will offer plenty of other activities geared for children including inflatables, a big bounce house and a sports challenge.
“The Easter egg hunt and pictures with the Easter bunny will draw a lot of youngsters as usual,” Ellis said, adding that the bigger facility will make the event easier for families to have fun and receive the right information.”
The fair, expected to draw near 1,000 visitors, includes a “stranger danger” workshop in a kid-friendly manner which includes a demonstration.
Several local businesses, including Avon Lake Patch, will also be on hand with information about their services.
