Avon St. Mary Youth Mass & Operation Christmas Child Drive
Please join area families for St. Mary's Youth Mass on Sunday November 17th at 6pm!
After Mass, we will gather in the school hall to assemble shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. What a great opportunity to participate in the season of giving with the entire family!
Last year our parish sent out 20 shoe-boxes to children in need throughout the world. Please bring small items to donate and we will provide the shoeboxes. For suggested items please check www.samaritanspurse.org.
If you are unable to attend the mass please place your donation in the box by the altar. Thank you for your generosity!!
Gift Suggestions
Toys:
Include items that children will immediately embrace such as dolls, toy trucks, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc.
School Supplies:
Pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
Hygiene Items:
Toothbrush, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
Accessories:
T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sun-glasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries).
