FUN ALL WEEKEND IN DOWNTOWN VERMILION



 



There’s
something for everyone in downtown Vermilion with three great events starting
Friday evening, Nov. 1ST.

The
weekend kicks off Friday evening at 5:30 pm with the 2nd Annual Fall in Love
with Vermilion Progressive Dinner
sponsored by the Vermilion Chamber of
Commerce. Ticket holders will stroll and savor each delicious course at various
locations downtown.  From wine and
appetizers to dessert and coffee, the evening provides a unique opportunity to
explore and shop historic Vermilion while enjoying the best of local wineries
and eateries. When it’s time for dessert, Follow the Fish will Light Up Tiffany’s
Flowers in the Old City Hall with art, illuminated sculptures, and music to
conclude the evening. For Progressive Dinner tickets ($20) and information,

Friday evening, don’t miss the gala Opening Reception for the MainStreet
Vermilion Arts Guild’s Holiday Art Show
, 5-9 pm.  Everyone attending the reception will enjoy
complimentary wine and cheese, and will receive a free raffle ticket for a Gift
Basket! The opening festivities continue Saturday and Sunday, and the show will
be open every weekend through December 22 offering unique holiday gift ideas.

On
Saturday, November 2nd, return to Vermilion for a day of free family
fun at the Follow the Fish ArtShop, 11 am - 4 pm.  Grownups and kids can follow the ArtShop
Trail  Map to meet more than 20 artists
from Vermilion and neighboring communities. The artists and their work will be
hosted at businesses throughout the quaint and historic downtown. The new
Friendship Park next to Ritter Public Library will be the site of unique fish
sculptures. With musicians, dancers, and activities for young and old, there's
something for everyone, and it's all FREE! It’s the perfect opportunity to show
