– L’Amour du Vin, Lorain County’s
premier wine and food event, celebrates 16 years of world class
wine-tasting and award-winning local cuisine on Thursday, October 10th. Presented by
EMH Healthcare, this annual event benefits the Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes
Region’s Northeastern Ohio market. EMH Healthcare’s dedication to the
Arthritis Foundation continues this year as Donald
S. Sheldon, M.D., EMH’s president and CEO, will serve as the honorary chair of
the 2013 benefit.
“I am proud
to serve as the honorary chairman of this year’s L’Amour du Vin,” said Dr.
Sheldon. “As a physician, I am well-versed in the debilitating effects of
arthritis.” He continued, “This event is an essential part of the work
that the Arthritis Foundation does for those affected by the disease, and I’m
pleased to support it in any way I can.”
From 6:00 to
9:00pm, L'Amour du Vin will host more than 450 guests at Avon Oaks Country
Club. Wine from around the world and food from 15 local award-winning
restaurants will be featured.

restaurants in this year’s L’Amour du Vin include Ahern Catering, Aladdin's
Eatery, AMP150 Restaurant & Bar, Bistro 83, Fazio's Restaurant, Gatherings
Kitchen, Kiedrowski's Simply Delicious Bakery, La Campagna, Legacy Restaurant
& Grille, Little Devil Cupcakery, Moosehead Grill, Parker's Grille &
Tavern, Red Gables Mesquite Grill, Seryrell's Salsa Products and Your Deli.
VIP
ticketholders will enjoy an exclusive lounge sponsored by KeyBank, where Bistro
83 will provide a special food presentation, samples and demonstrations.
Barrel aged cocktail tastings from Brown-Forman and spa services from EXHALE:
The Spa at EMH will add special twists to the event this year.
Other event
highlights include live music, a silent auction and raffles featuring a
five-day, four-night western Caribbean cruise, among many other prizes.

L’Amour du
Vin has been instrumental in raising funds supporting local Arthritis
Foundation programs and services and research. Nearly 1.5 million people of all
ages in Northeastern Ohio have been diagnosed with arthritis. Since the event’s
debut, L’Amour du Vin has raised more than $345,000.
