Berea Fairgrounds Flea Market-The Place To Be This Weekend

For an indoor flea market experience close to home, drive out to the Berea Fairgrounds for the last Winter Season Flea Market which is this weekend.  The Fairgrounds are located at 164 Eastland Rd., Berea OH.  This busy monthly event is held on Saturday, 3/15 and Sunday, 3/16 with a start time of at 7 a.m.  Things wrap up early at 2 p.m.

The Winter Flea Market takes over several of the exhibit buildings.  So, dress warmly as you will be outside to travel from one treasure filled building to the next.

Unlike the Medina Flea Market of the Collectables, the Berea Flea Market has new and old items, antiques, household supplies, handmade crafts,  and artisan food items.  You may find designer handbags next to homemade jam.  Toothpaste and other personal necessities adjacent to a table full of collectible glassware.  Each vendor has a niche.  The possibilities are endless.

There is absolutely something for everyone.  Families are welcome.  Kids love the sights and sounds of this eclectic atmosphere.  They may find a much sought after toy at a great price.  Grandma may be looking for a Corningware lid to replace the one she broke at Christmastime.  Dad is into collecting die-cast cars.  Big Sister and Mom are looking for earrings to match that special prom dress. The whole family has a very good chance of finding each person's wants or needs.   All of that and more are at the Berea Flea Market.

But don't think the Berea Flea Market calls it quits in March.  April is the first month of the Summer Flea Market season.  In summertime, the fun can be found every weekend at the Fairgrounds.  Vendors set up outside around the Fairgrounds racetrack.  There are the tried and true hardcore flea market vendors who show up religiously every weekend.  However, there are also folks trying to downsize, who set up a few tables only once during the season.  Farmers appear with truckloads of fresh produce.  Eager entrepreneurs are selling new items they hope will catch your eye.  Food venders abound.

Summertime hours are 6a.m to 2p.m. Admission for this weekly event is $1.

As I look out my window at the heavy snowfall, it is hard to imagine summer will be here anytime soon.  We'll be visiting the Berea Summer Flea Market in another post.  For now, brave the snow and cold, for some warm smiles and hot deals this weekend at the Berea Fairgrounds.
