Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club will present "SHADES OF OLD GLORY", a standard flower show this coming Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8 from 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. The flower show is open and free to the public. The show is being held at Peter Miller House Museum, 33740 Lake Road, which located next to the Miller Park and Avon Lake Boat Landing.
"SHADES OF OLD GLORY" is made up of flower arrangements for the season, horticulture, and special educational exhibits done by the members. All of which will be judged by National Garden Club Approved Judges before being open to the public.
Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club was started in 1930 by a group of ladies who enjoy gardening and flower arranging in their homes and community. The objectives of the club are to promote home gardening. floral design and doing community projects. Each monthly meeting is started with a luncheon, then a learning presentation on flowers, plants and arranging flowers. The meeting are held at Avon Lake Public Library in the Gallery on the first Wednesday of the month.
