The Annual Historical Society Christmas luncheon originally scheduled for Dec. 13 and canceled due to cold weather and snow will be rescheduled. The next meeting will be on Monday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. in the Gallery Room of the Avon Lake library. Bob Pallante from the Amherst Historical Society will present a power point program on "The History of the Quarries in Amherst." There will be a question and answer period and light refreshments after the presentation.
Election of officers for 2011 will also take place after the program.
The monthly meetings of the Avon Lake Historical Society are on the second Monday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Gallery Room at the Avon Lake Library on Electric Boulevard. Meetings are open to the public and those interested in the history of Avon Lake are always welcome.
