Holiday Mail for Heroes-I want you!

The Lions Club and our nations soldiers needs your help.  Imagine being stuck in a hospital over the holidays recovering from battle wounds and not getting a Christmas card.  How about being in a combat zone and Christmas comes and goes without getting any greetings.  Well the Lions Club would like to remedy that situation by participating in the Red Cross program called Holiday Mail for Heroes.  It works like this: buy an extra box or two of Christmas cards, make them out addressed to "Dear Service Member", write a few lines of encouragement or appreciation, no enclosures or personal data, sign but do not seal it, drop them off at one of our drop off boxes.  The cards will be sent to be scanned for safety, and then shipped worldwide to our troops.  We need donations, Christmas cards that are made out or blank ones and we will fill out.  Please take the time to make a difference this Holiday season and for Veterans Day-how about honoring our soldiers with some recognition and appreciation!  Cards can be dropped off at the American Legion Post 211 on Walker (just East of Giant Eagle) at our drop boxes or call me at 440-381-9843.
