It's a Small (Retirement) World, After All
4 of 5: Share of people globally that are worried about their financial situation in retirement
In the book The World is Flat, author Thomas Friedman claimed that our world was becoming increasingly globalized. Research shows that our philosophy about retirement may be becoming increasingly globalized, too. A poll of 8,000 people across 4 continents revealed that more than four out of five respondents aged 25 to 60 said they are worried about their financial situation after retirement. And it's not just such concerns that are universal—there are trends in habits as well. Most of our European counterparts say they do not have the knowledge, interest or time to think through the prospects of a future 10, 20 or 30 years down the road.
