Watercolors and Woodland Walks: Upcoming at the Avon Lake Library

“Sunlight and Shadow” – Watercolor Class Series

Have you always dreamed of becoming an artist? Or do you have some experience and would like to learn new techniques? Notable local artist Christine England will offer a series of four watercolor classes on Saturdays, Sept. 14, 21, 28 and Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Plan to attend all four sessions. A supply list will be available at sign-up. Class is limited to 12 participants. Prepaid registration is required at the Circulation desk by Sept. 7. Friends registration begins Monday, Aug. 26 – fee $35. General public registration begins Tuesday, Sept. 3 – fee $40.

Woodland Walks

Do you enjoy a walk in the woods? Join a group every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Avon Lake Public Library trail head to take a guided walk through Kopf Family Reservation with a naturalist from the Lorain County Metro Parks.

Avon Lake Public Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day.
