Beverly J. Cahill (nee Elliott), 82 of Avon Lake since 1958, formerly of East Cleveland, passed away Feb. 2, 2013 of natural causes. She was born Aug. 1, 1930 in Cleveland. Beverly graduated from Brush High School in 1948.
Beverly was a secretary of True Temper for five years. She retired from the American Fork and Hose Division. Beverly was a member of Heights Christian Church, Shaker Heights. She was a duplicate bridge player, a band mom for the Avon Lake High School Band, a gymnastic judge at the high school level, and secretary of the Lorain County Kennel Club. She enjoyed music of all kinds, water aerobics, nature, Hakata dolls, macramé, movies, and Southwestern art.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Martin H.; children Brian E. Cahill (Gail) of Magnolia, TX, Maureen H. Wightman (Gary) of Avon Lake; and Amy B. Grospitch (Jim) of Homerville; grandchildren Haley and Patrick Wightman; and many nieces and nephews, especially Catie Cahill, Craig Cahill, and Nora Ferrone. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Maynard and Ivy; and her sister Barbara Teverbaugh.
All services are private, arrangements are by the Busch Funeral Home Avon Lake. Rev. Kelly Brill of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens at a later date with Rev. Chris Cahill, nephew, officiating.
