Hazel R. Kaspar, Longtime Resident of Avon Lake

Member of St. Joseph Church and Isabella Guild of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Ragan Council 3269, Avon.

Hazel R. Kaspar (nee Hubbard), 83, of Avon Lake, died Thurs., Oct. 10, 2013 of a brief illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1930 in Austinburg, Ohio, and has lived in Avon Lake since 1957.╩

She was a homemaker, but had worked for the United States Post Office for 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Avon Lake, also a member of the Isabella Guild of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Ragan Council 3269, Avon. She enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by three sons: David (Susan), Donald (Claudia), and Douglas; one daughter: Denise (Rick) Thompson; 11 Grandchildren: Chris, Greg, Lance, Sarah, John, Zach, Matt, Aubree, Ashley, Jordan, and Becky; one Great-Grandchild: Isabelle; 1 brother: Harold "Bud" Hubbard; one sister: Helen Gockrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kaspar in 2012 and a sister, Lucille Romansky.

Friends will be received Monday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon, where closing prayers will be Tuesday 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Avon Lake.

 Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Hospice of Cleveland, 9775 Rockside Rd., Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125, or the American Cancer Society, 20470 Lorain Rd., Cleveland,  44126.
