Visitation Friday, memorial Mass is Saturday

Jason T. Schaeper, 24, of Avon Lake formerly of Pickerington, passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. He was born March 12, 1988 in Columbus and moved to Avon Lake when he was in the third grade.

Jason graduated from Avon Lake High School in 2006. He also graduated from West Virginia University – School of Journalism and majored in advertising. Jason had an infectious smile and was a fun loving person. He loved being with his friends, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with his nieces.

His survivors include his parents, Jim Schaeper and Terri (nee England) of Avon Lake; brother, Joe Schaeper (Jen) of North Ridgeville; nieces, Jacey and Julia; paternal grandmother, Janet Schaeper of Pickerington; maternal grandfather, Carl England of Pickerington; 11 aunts and uncles; and 16 cousins. Jason is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John Schaeper; maternal grandmother Vera England; and aunt Joanne McCaw.

Friends may call at The Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, between 4-8 pm, Friday Feb. 1. Memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, by Busch Celebrant Jan Hart, with luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 in memory of grandparents and aunt.

I knew Jason and he was always quick to help, positive in attitude and had a charisma that made people want to be around him. I am shocked at his passing. His parents have always be selfless people that give to Avon Lake HS sports, coached teams and supported every event when asked. My heart goes out to the Schaepers.
