Lisa M. Reitz (nee Selmon), 48, of Avon Lake, formerly of Strongsville, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at The Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, after a year and a half battle with lung cancer.
Lisa was born Oct. 28, 1964 in the Bronx, NY and had lived in Avon Lake the past eight years.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Bowling Green State University. For the past six years she was employed as a payroll clerk for Metro Health System Cleveland.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. She was also an animal lover and especially loved dogs and her own dog Snicker. She also found great joy in spoiling her 13 nieces and nephews and her one great nephew.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joseph, whom she married, May 1, 1993. Besides her nieces and nephews she is survived by her parents Robert and Katherine (nee Holmes) Selmon of Ocala, FL and sister Susanne Polivka (Michael) of Fairview Park.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Monday, April 15, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Spirit Church, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Fr. James H. Beatty of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
