Margaret L. Brunner, Member of St. Joseph Church

Mrs. Brunner enjoyed boating and family vacations.

Margaret L. Brunner (nee Peterson), 80, of Avon Lake formerly of Lakewood passed away at Center Ridge Nursing Home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 following a lengthy illness.

Margaret was born on Aug.  22, 1931 in Lakewood.

She graduated from Lourdes Academy High School and was a member of St. Clement Church in Lakewood and St. Joseph Church in Avon Lake.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed boating and family vacations on Pelee Island.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Linda) of Rocky River, Karen (Darrell) Forbus of Elyria, Michael (Deb) of Westlake, David (Diane) of Avon Lake, Laura Howard (Sam) of S. Lyon, MI, John of Fairview Park, Alan (Jean) of North Olmsted, Dan (Terri) of Avon Lake, and Kathleen of Sheffield Lake; grandmother of 28, and great grandmother of many. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth R., son James R., grand-daughter Melanie, parents Harry and Betty (nee Isabell) Peterson, and her sister Nancy McCann.

Friends may call at the, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.

Prayer service is at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at , 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake at 10 a.m. with Father Timothy O'Connor presiding.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to Franciscan Missionary Union, c/o Fr. Damien Isabell O.F.M., 3140 Merimec St., St. Louis, MO 63118.
