Mary G. Morahan, 82, Active at Holy Trinity Church

Graduated from St. Theresa Academy

Mary G. (Nagel) Morahan, 82, of Avon, died at home surrounded by her family on April 19.

Morahan was a lifetime Avon resident and graduated from St. Theresa Academy in Cleveland.

In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Morahan was also heavily involved in the Avon community. She was a very active lifelong member of and the Ladies Guild. She was a member at the VFW in Elyria and the American Legion in Avon Lake. Her interests included crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, ceramics, gardening and canning.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald; children Michael (Kelly) of Avon, Mark (Laura) of Avon, Susan Matheson (John) of Chico, Calif., and David (Michelle) of Avon; grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Jackson, Mackenzie, Ryan, Matthew, Andrew, Alex and Rachel; and several nieces and nephews.

Morahan was preceded in death by her parents, Aloys J. and Emilie (Rieger) Nagel and brothers Lester A., Christopher C., Elmer F., Carl J., and John L. Nagel.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at . A prayer service will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at with Father John Misenko presiding. Interment will be at .
