Russell Joseph Kearney, 89, passed away on Aug. 30 2012. He was born on March 23, 1923 in Cleveland and was a resident of Avon.
Russell was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie Kearney; dear father to Kathleen Becker, Carol Agnew (Patrick)and Joseph (Sue) Kearney; loving grandfather of Francis (Fawn) Becker, Melissa Becker, Sarah (James) Eckhoff, Nicole and Meaghan Agnew, Mary Kay and Philip Kearney. He was a great-grandfather to Kali, Kai, and Kora Becker and Harper Eckhoff; brother of Roseanne Gillette and Tom Kearney and the late Jack Kearney.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. at , 33601 Detroit Rd., Avon. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at 2914 Dover Center Rd., Westlake.
