Sandra Kay Winn, 63, formerly of Avon, died Jan. 30 at home in North Ridgeville after a brief battle with cancer.
Winn was born April 9, 1948, in Wheeling, WV. She worked at Arrow International in Brooklyn for 11 years as a receptionist. She was active in gardening, loved working in her yard and readily shared her knowledge and experience with family, friends and co-workers. She had lived in North Ridgeville for the last three years.
Winn is survived by children Kim Mencin of North Ridgeville and Robbie Mencin of Fairview Park; sisters Cathy Browne of Cleveland and Gloria Roberts (Ken) of Centennial, Colo.; brother Marvin Winn (Susan) of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.; grandchildren Tyler, Jacob and Jackie; former husband Robert M. Mencin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ethel (Sowers) Samson, Everett Sansom and Carroll Winn.
