Sharon L. Miller, of Avon

Sharon L. Miller, age 61, of Avon passed away at her home on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.

She was born June 2, 1951 to the late Lyle and Norma Higgins.

Sharon is survived by one son Ethan Miller (loving girlfriend Michelle Strader) of Wakeman; her fiancée, Michael Alten of Avon; Sisters Lylea McGuire (James Patrick, deceased), Kathy Abfall and Jamie (Rob) Klinger, all of Newark, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Margaret (Rick) Frens (3 Children) , Adam (Alicia) Abfall (2 children), Callandra (Cory) Harris (2 children) all of Michigan and Jamie McGuire of Newark, Ohio.

She will be remembered by her friends and family as the person who loved unique antiques and cooking from scratch. Her love of cooking will be remembered with old family recipes that brought great pleasure to not only her family but senior citizens who could no longer cook for themselves. Sharon made their house a home and it was often a stopping point for extended family and friends during their travels.

Sharon and Mike enjoyed spending time together at home listening to music and attending to their gardens. Sharon and Mike were looking forward to a gathering of family to celebrate their marriage to one another. Michael was the love of her life. Sharon was filled with love and appreciation for family, friends and neighbors. In the end, this is her legacy.

A celebration of her life will be held on Dec. 8, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 36950 Mills Road, Avon.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial donations in Sharon's name to Fisher-Titus Medical Center's Mammography Fund, 272 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857.
