Susan E. Miller (nee Schatschneider), 63, of Missouri, formally from Avon, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was born July 18, 1948.
She graduated from and received a BA Degree in History from the University of Colorado.
Susan was a published quilter, whose quilts were shown at major quilting shows and featured in quilting magazines under Susan E. Schatschneider-Miller. Her favorite charity was Project Linus ,where blankets were donated by volunteers to seriously ill, traumatized and in need children.
Susan is survived by her husband Donald F. Miller; daughters, Wendy, Kristina Bernal (Leonardo) both of Kansas City and Deborah of Missouri; grandchildren Aidan and Stella; parents Harold and Helen Schatschneider; sisters Heidi Rom (Frank), Liesa Wetzig (Douglas) and Sherry (Stuart) Tackett; brothers, Harold Jr. (Karen), Kurt (Kathi) and Eric. Sue was an aunt to many and a friend to all.
Memorial services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Avon on Saturday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Avon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Linus. (www.projectlinus.org)
