Virginia L. Johnsen (nee Durham), 87, passed away on July 2, 2013. She was born in Laurel, Montana on Nov. 14, 1925.
Virginia was a past president of Lakeshore Women's Club. She belonged to Lakeshore Methodist Church and the Church's Women's Group. Virginia spent countless hours documenting her entire life, telling stories with pictures and maps. Family was very important to her. She also loved reading, crochet, and taking care of her pets.
Virginia graduated from Laurel High School in 1944 and continued her education at Colorado Women's College, Denver where she graduated in 1946. She met the love of her life Stanley while she attended Colorado Women's College, whom she married in 1946.

Survivors include her children, David (Janet), James, and Judith Moes (David); grandchildren, Hillary, Heather, Emily, Aaron, Adam, Katherine, and Virginia; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Jocelyn, Eliza, Natalie, John David, Elijah, Alexandra, and Kendall. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, James and Alice; and brothers, Morris and Oliver.
Private graveside service will be held. Interment at Elmhurst Park Cemetery, Avon. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to Harbor Light Hospice, 734-C Alpha Drive, Highland Heights, OH 44143.
