Alcohol Doesn't Enhance Man's Charms
The following arrest information was provided by the Avon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A drunk man who didn’t have money for his Mulligan’s bar bill in the early hours of Feb. 20 decided the hassle other customers for the money.
File that effort under “FAIL.”
The bartender told the man to clear out and, when he wouldn’t, he was escorted out by four off-duty Cleveland police officers. The man complained to Avon police, who got him home safely.

Mulligan’s management told police that the man was no longer welcome there.
Cops Helping Cops
An off-duty Lakewood police officer driving on Interstate 90 west called Avon police after seeing a maroon Jeep drifting from lane to lane around 3 a.m. on Feb. 20.

An Avon police officer got on the interstate and pulled over the driver, Dane Wilson, 25, at the Route 611 interchange. Wilson was chaged with driving under the influence.
Theft
Someone stole a garage door opener from the car of a resident in the 36000 block of Haverford Place on Feb. 19.
The resident told police the car in the garage had been rifled through and two containers of gasoline were stolen.
Damage
A truck driver must have missed the signs saying "road closed ahead" and "no outlet" before getting onto Avon Road sometime in the overnight hours of Feb. 18.
The driver used an Avon Road resident’s driveway as a turnaround near the road closing at the Westlake border. Unfortunately, they backed up a little too much and damaged the landscaping.
A decorative rock landscaping wall was knocked over. Damage is estimated around $2,000.
