Guess the "Grandma, I'm in jail" and "You won!" phone scams were getting boring for thieves, because there may be a new one making the rounds.
A Kinzel Road resident called Avon police earlier this month after she got several phone calls from someone with a “foreign” accent threatening to crash her computer if she did not send them money.
The woman said she would contact Time-Warner, her internet provider, and, if the person called back, make a formal complaint to police.
