Avon Lake Man Accused of Sexual Assault on Girl, 15, is Indicted on Felony Charges

David Graham of Avon Lake was indicted May 4 on multiple charges stemming from a sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl.

Graham, 48, was indicted May 4 in Lorain County Court of Common Pleas with rape, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, gross sexual imposition, pandering obscenity involving a minor, importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, according to court records

Graham, of Dellwood Road in Avon Lake Municipal Court on March 28.

On April 5, addition charges of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony and importuning, a fifth-degree felony, were filed. He was bound over to the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas for indictment.

Sgt. Vince Molnar said the teen was brought to the police station by her grandmother.

“From there we scheduled an appointment at the (Nord Center's)  Children’s Advocacy Center,” Molnar said. The girl talked with a nurse at the center’s sexual assault care unit at the center. 

According to Molnar, Graham was familiar to the family.

Graham faces more than 20 years in prison.

Graham is currently being held in the Lorain County Jail. A cash bond of $50,000 was set. He has been ordered not to contact the victim or her family.
