Avon Lake Police Investigating Thefts, Including $12,000 in Silverware

Silverware is stolen from home on Lear Road

Avon Lake Police Department is investigating a trio of thefts that occurred in the city in the last week.

On Feb. 27, a resident of the 300 block of Lear Road reported that their set of sterling silverware had been stolen from the home earlier.

The set is estimated to be worth more than $12,000.

Then, on Feb. 28, jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 300 block of Lear Road.

The stolen jewelry includes a diamond ring, gold heart pendant and a wedding band, according to the police report.

Finally, the manager of the Taco Bell on Avon Belden called police on March 3 to report that money had been stolen from the story.
