Construction Worker Killed in Avon Accident from Campbell

Man killed after two-car accident near construction zone.

The has confirmed the construction worker killed Sept. 12 was Peter Maglis, 63, of Campbell, Ohio.

The accident, involving two cars--one of which struck Maglis--occured shortly after 9 a.m. near the Lear Nagle Road bridge where the new I-90 interchange project is continuing. 

He was taken to where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to Fox 8 News, Maglis was employed by Athos Painting, located in Seven Hills.

"He was said to be a dedicated worker who loved his family," the site reported.

Athos Painting has been in business since 1999.

The investigation is continuing. The drivers of the two vehicles by Avon Police as Nathan Reese, 34, of Avon and Anthony J. Rose Jr. 50, of Breckville.
