Dog Gets Attention of TV News: Police Blotter
The following information was supplied by the Avon police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A TV station’s Facebook page reported to on Jan. 3 that they were receiving complaints about a dog being left outside at Fathers of St. Joseph on Case Road with no shelter, food or water.
After police had been called earlier by someone else, and police noted that the chain the dog was on was too short to reach the doghouse, the dog was brought inside until the weather got better.
A follow-up after the TV station called found the dog had only been let outside for a few minutes to do its business.
