Construction Driver Shocked After Vehicle Pulls Down Live Wire

A construction worker was received a shock after his vehicle took down a pole and electrical wire Oct. 19 near Canterbury and Inwood boulevards. An Olmsted Township man was dumping a construction load at Canterbury and Inwood when an overhead wire got caught on his truck. When he let the bed of the truck down it pulled the wire and snapped the pole.

The man told police officers he was shocked when he tried to re-enter his vehicle and paramedics were called. Paramedics checked the man who refused to go to the hospital. The electric company came and removed the wire from the pole.
