Drunk Avon Lake Teen Plows Through Neighborhood, Drives Into Creek

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An Avon Lake teen is in Westlake jail and facing DUI and other charges after a late-night drive through a Westlake neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

reported that William Muller, 18, drove his 1991 Ford pickup into a car and then the garage door of one house in the 4400 block of Bradley Road around 3:16 a.m.

At 3:29 a.m., a resident in the 31100 block of Center Ridge Road called Westlake police and said a pickup truck had just driven through his back yard and into a creek, and that the driver had fled on foot.

While police were searching the area for him, a resident in the 4800 block of Honeylocust Lane called and said he had just chased a young man out of his home after he rang the front doorbell, came into the house, and lay down on the floor. The resident was armed with a golf club when chasing Muller out.

Muller was found and arrested shortly after that. His blood-alcohol content was a .177, more than twice the legal limit.
