The transfer case, which takes power from the transmission and sends it to the truck’s axels, came off as the truck was just east of Nagel Road around mile marker 155. The case punctured the truck’s gas tank as it came off, causing deisel fuel to spill.

The transfer case fell out in the roadway and was hit by several cars, causing damage. No one was injured.

Ohio Highway Patrol closed two lanes to clear the debris. All lanes were reopened around 7:55 p.m.
