Hooligans on the Loose, Former Student Sends Porn Pic: Blotters

A July 27 incident resulted in damage to properties in Avon's Devonshire Meadows development.  According to Avon Police, someone or several people went through Devonshire Meadows throwing a picnic table into the pond, smashing flower pots and moving them from one house to another.

Earlier in the day, police were notified of flower pots in the roadway and hanging baskets on the tennis courts. A flag pole was also removed and placed near the pond.  Police noted that the incidents were possibly juvenile related.

“Apparently a group of hooligans have placed multiple planters in the road,” a report stated. “Searching for the hooligans.”

Former Student Sends Pornographic Pic Over Facebook

Am Avon woman notified police on July 29 that a former student of hers sent her a pornographic picture over Facebook. The woman told police she unfriended him and notified Facebook of the incident.

The man then tried to send his former teacher a derogatory message. Hearing nothing back from Facebook, she notified the police.

Goose spared from certain death

A July 28 report noted an injured goose near the entrance of St. Mary of the Woods that needed to be “dispatched.” When police arrived they were unable to located the goose. Next to the nursing home is a large field where approximately 50 geese were located. Police could not determine if any of them were injured.
