Juvie Under House Arrest Tries to Rip Off Timber Lake Chimney

The following information was provided by the Avon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

This week in the Avon blotters: 

On July 17, Avon Police received a call that someone was on the roof at Timber Lake Townhomes and “trying to rip of the top of the chimney.”

After taking the juvenile male into custody, police requested the help of the Avon Fire Department to access the roof and determine how much damage there was.

Police learned from the boy’s mother he was under house arrest through juvenile court.

On July 18 police were advised several dirt bikes were stolen from a man’s house on Colorado Boulevard in Avon. 

A large gas leak on July 19 caused the shut down of several roads for about 20 minutes. Avon Police shut down party of Jaycox and Chester until Columbia Gas arrived and shut off the gas.
