Picture-Taking Man Frightens Girl

A man taking pictures in the 32800 block of Elm Drive on April 9 caught the attention of residents, and .

Shortly after 12:30 p.m., a girl was playing in the driveway of her home when she saw a man in a light blue car stop at the end of the driveway and take a picture of her.

The girl, thinking the man was going to get out of the car, ran into the house and told her mom, who called Avon police.

The man was gone when police arrived. One neighbor said he spoke with the man, who said to the neighbor that he worked for Lorain County doing appraisals and was taking photos of the houses in the neighborhood.

Children playing basketball nearby said they saw the driver leaving the neighborhood, describing his car as “(University of) North Carolina Blue.”
