Pole Fire on Moore Road Causes Power Outage in Avon Lake
1,900 without power for 3 hours.
Approximately 1,900 First Energy customers were without power Saturday afternoon when a telephone pole caught on Moore Road caught fire at 2:15 p.m.
A First Energy spokeman said the responded to the pole fire near a First Energy substation. Service was restored to all customers by 5 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
