Police Blotter: Items Stolen From Cars, Minors Steal Beer and Cigarettes

Someone felt like helping themselves to other people's stuff on Churchill Drive on April 22.

Two residents reported to Avon police that someone got into their cars and stole items. In one car, an MP3 player and GPS unit were stolen. A GPS unit and gold rosary were stolen out of the other car.

A woman who parked at GetGo was inside the store while her car rolled away from the parking spot and hit a pole. The car only had minor damage.

A Creekview Lane resident told police some "kids" got into his garage on April 22 and took about 12 cans of beer and cigarettes that were out there. Anyone have teens with upset stomachs the morning of April 23?

Guns are Not Toys

Some kids on North Doovys Street used one of the boys' BB guns to shoot at homes in the neighborhood. At least two homes were damaged. No charges were filed after police were called on April 22, but the parents of the BB gun owner may be on the hook for the damages.

Clean up your mess!

A construction crew working at the intersection of Detroit Road and Joseph Street was warned April 22 to clean off all the mud they leave in the roadway when they're done working for the day, or else they'd be cited for creating a road hazard.

Stop Telephoning Me

A Chester Road woman dialed a wrong number last week and started getting harassing calls from someone at that number.
