Second Victim Dies Following Sunday’s ‘Dancin’ in the Street’ Crash

Lakewood man may face new charges following the crash that killed two and injured three others.

A second person has died following a on Sunday night.

Basil Bass, 44, of Cleveland, died at MetroHealth Medical Center on Tuesday.

, 27, of Lakewood, and originally from Avon Lake, died a few hours after a vehicle plowed through the event's barricades, striking five people.

A vigil took place at the location of the crash — on Clifton Boulevard, between W. 117th and W. 116th streets — Tuesday evening honoring the victims of the event. 

“The events of Sunday are shocking and heartbreaking,” said Tracy Jones, CEO of the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, in a statement. “Our hearts are with the victims and their families and loved ones. We will do whatever we can to show our support and to honor those impacted by this tragedy.”

A Lakewood man has been arrested and charged — — on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday morning.

The case against Timothy Spock, 34, of Beach Parkway in Lakewood, was turned over to a Cuyahoga County grand jury.

His at $150,000. 

He faces a second-degree felony for the crash that killed Andelmo and Bass, and injured three others, at the on Clifton Boulevard on Sunday night.

There may be additional charges.
