Woman Cited After Losing Control, Landing Car in Avon Lake Yard

No injuries were reported in the Saturday incident.

A Lakewood woman was cited with operation without being in reasonable control after swerving off Lake Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 18, sideswiping a tree and then hitting three more trees before her car came to rest.

According to an report, Kimberly Harris of Lakewood, was driving west on Lake Road and was unable to stop when the vehicle in front of her was waiting in traffic. Her 1999 Mercury Topaz went off the right side of the road over the driveway at 31668 Lake Rd. sideswiped a tree, missed two trees, then struck three more trees prior to stopping.

Neither she, nor her passenger, Veronica Vance of Sheffield Lake, reported any injuries. Niether drugs nor alcohol were considered factors in the accident.
