  • The Avon Lake Education Association voted June 9 to accept a wage freeze and increase contributions to health care. The move is expected to save the district $315,000.

  • With mostly drier weather providing a needed boost, the closed section west of Moore Road is expected to open on schedule. The construction essentially cut off Walker Road businesses after the street closed in April.
