Absentee Voting for Primary Now in Effect

Primary election is March 6

If you want to vote absentee in the March 6 primary election, you can vote starting today.

Want to vote absentee? You can get the absentee voter application at the Board of Elections, located at 1985 North Ridge Rd. in Lorain, or at their website. Members of the armed forces can fax their absentee voting requests to 440-326-5931.

Once you get your absentee ballot, you can submit it in person at the Board of Elections office or mail it in.

According to the Board of Elections, absentee votes must be submitted by March 5. The only exception is voters hospitalized because of an emergency, or voters who have a minor child hospitalized because of an emergency.
