Belmar Area Project Heads into Home Stretch

Work is nearing completion on the Inwood, Dellwood, Bellaire project.

Belmar connects with a new water line

Belmar residents got their new water main one day ahead of schedule. The two Mr. Excavator crews, one working north from Canterbury Road and the other south from Electric Boulevard, connected at Redwood Boulevard on Oct. 18. The 2,432 feet of molecularly oriented, PVCO pipe is designed to withstand the pressures from soil corrosion, temperature fluctuation, and daily stress from school traffic.

The water line has been tested and disinfected and residents will be notified when permanent water service is available. Crews will then remove the temporary line, clean up the excavation area, regrade ditches, reseed tree lawns, and make any miscellaneous repairs. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and not to park on tree lawns within work areas.
