Candidate Statement: Having a father that was a councilman before has helped me immensely. He kept reminding me it was about the people who elected me, the citizens of Ward 1. He encouraged me to always put myself in the shoes of those who have concerns and most of all he showed me how much he cared for the citizens of Avon when he was a councilman.
In my terms as councilman of Ward 1, I have been a part of the installation of a traffic light of Detroit and Case, the improvement of Kinzel and Stoney Ridge, addition of drainage along Detroit Road, the repaving of Stoney Ridge, the addition of the baseball stadium and YMCA (which was voted on by the citizens of Avon), those things have taken place in Ward 1. Also during this time, there have been numerous retail developments, the widening of Detroit road, and a new police station and post office.
With the many things that are going on in Avon and the addition of the new interchange, the foundation is in place for the city to really increase its wealth. This will allow for more street repairs, a greater effort on storm water removal, and more purchases and improvements to the parks.
If given the opportunity to serve another term, I promise to continue to keep my constituents’ best interest in mind and to work constantly to make sure the taxpayers' money is spent wisely. You can count on me for honest answers and dedication to serve the citizens of Ward 1.
