Candidate Statement: It has been a privilege to serve as Avon's Ward 4 councilman the last six years and this November, I will again humbly ask for your vote.

I first ran for council because I felt a responsibility to be involved in the community as a public servant, and today I feel even more strongly in my commitment to serve. Avon is a dynamic and attractive community. As Avon continues to grow and attract families and businesses alike, it is vitally important that city council continues to critically consider and address the many issues Avon faces on a daily basis.

As the Legal Committee Chairman and a Service Committee member, I have assisted the city in finding workable, reasonable solutions on many different issues.  I believe that my educational background and experience as a local business attorney provide the necessary foundation to continue helping Avon meet its challenges as a growing community and to keep the city on solid footing.

My wife, Kristine, and I recently had our first child, a girl named Gwendolyn.  As one of the growing families in Avon, I have a personal interest in making sure that our community remains strong for years to come.

My objectives for the next term are to remain, as I have been, constantly available to any resident who has a concern and to work diligently to provide answers and produce results.  Other objectives involve working on a comprehensive storm water management plan and connecting the city so that residents can easily, enjoyably, and more safely travel by foot or by bike. Finally, and very importantly, I will work to ensure the city maintains its strong bond rating and that tax dollars are utilized appropriately so that Avon remains a wonderful and vibrant city.
